Rusting Away is a friendly PvE server. Treat others with respect, keep chat clean, and help us keep the server smooth and fun for everyone. If you’re unsure about something, ask an admin.
Chat & Voice
Keep it friendly and readable.
English in Global Chat
Please use English in global chat so everyone can follow along and get help.
Be Respectful
No harassment, hate speech, personal attacks, or targeted drama.
No Toxicity or Spam
Avoid spam, flooding chat, or trying to bait arguments.
No Mic Spam
Keep voice chat reasonable. No loud audio, soundboards, or repeated noise.
General Rules
Common-sense rules to keep things fair and smooth.
Don’t Log Off in Outpost / Bandit
You are not safe there. Log off at your base or a secure area.
Upgrade Your Builds
If you’re building, don’t leave your base in twig. Upgrade it before logging off.
Secure Your Base & Loot
Do not give strangers access to your base or loot. Lost items won’t be refunded. Close and lock your doors.
No Stealing
Don’t take other players’ loot. If you steal, you risk getting TASED.
Respect Others & Have Fun
Help each other out, keep the vibe friendly, and enjoy the server.
Kill Lots of Zombies
This is Rusting Away — get out there and wipe out the undead.
Building Rules
Build smart, keep paths clear, and avoid server lag.
Build Away (Be Considerate)
Claim your space, but leave room for others to enjoy the map too.
No Lag Builds
No spamming lights or items that cause lag. Keep builds performance-friendly.
Do Not Block Waterways
Keep rivers and waterways open — no blocking routes with structures.
Do Not Wall Off Monuments
No walling off monuments or points of interest.
Give Neighbors Space
Don’t build too close to others — leave room for expansion.
Twig Gets Removed
Twig structures may be destroyed if you log off without upgrading them.
No Building in Restricted Areas
Do not build in monuments or anywhere posted “Do Not Build” — even if it’s possible.
Do Not Block Roads / Tracks
Don’t build on roads or train tracks blocking traffic. Building up and over is fine if it allows passage.
VIP & Fairness
Keep perks fair and fun for everyone.
Don’t Over-Share VIP Perks
Please don’t excessively share VIP perks with other players. It’s not fair to others. Doing so may result in losing access to those perks.
Secure Your Stuff
We invest time and money into protections, but people still find ways. Lock your doors, boxes, and loot. Don’t blame staff if you fail to secure your base.
